We are accredited for Textile Exchange programs, GOTS, GRTS, BCI Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA), Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP), and Higg FEM, and are expanding into additional sustainability schemes. POSITION OVERVIEW
As we expand our environmental portfolio, we are looking for a Scheme Manager to own and grow our environmental schemes from Sri Lanka, working closely with global teams from Australia to the UK across Asia. This is a senior technical role with real ownership over how new schemes are built, accredited and delivered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Clean Globe’s environmental schemes, including FSC Chain of Custody, Higg FEM verification, ISO 14064 GHG verification, ISO 14067 product carbon footprint, Life Cycle Assessment (ISO 14040/44) and related carbon and climate services
- Develop and maintain scheme procedures, checklists, auditor guidance and report templates in line with accreditation and scheme owner requirements
- Lead scheme applications, assist the Quality Manager with accreditation assessments and witness audits, and manage relationships with scheme owners and external parties
- Qualify, train, calibrate and monitor auditors and verifiers across our regional offices
- Support country teams to develop the business and build team competence
- Review audit and verification reports and support certification decisions
- Track scheme revisions and regulatory developments (CSRD, CBAM, EUDR, Green Claims) and turn them into practical updates for teams and clients
- Design and deliver training for clients, auditors and industry partners, online and in person
- Provide technical input to proposals, client briefings and new service development
- Represent Clean Globe at industry events, conferences, workshops and stakeholder meetings in Sri Lanka and internationally
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Textile Technology or a related field (postgraduate preferred)
- Minimum 5 years in sustainability certification, verification, auditing or environmental consulting, ideally within a certification body
- Hands-on experience with at least two of: FSC CoC, Higg FEM, ISO 14064, ISO 14067, LCA, GHG Protocol
- Lead auditor or verifier qualification (ISO 14001, ISO 14064 or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17065 and ISO 14065 accreditation requirements
- Familiarity with LCA and carbon tools (SimaPro, Sphera/GaBi, openLCA, Higg Index) is an advantage
- Knowledge of PEFC, ZDHC, ISO 14068, SBTi or CDP is a bonus
- Fluency in spoken and written English
