Transaction Certificate (TC) is a document issued by the Certification Body that verifies the goods being shipped (or delivered) from one organization to the next conform to a given standard. Obtaining a TC for all the Textile Exchange standards and Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) for the input materials to be used in the output products with the claim of respective standard(s). Also, the processor or trader necessary to obtain TC for the claimed product that is sold out or delivered to another business entity.
Important;
- The organization shall have a valid scope certificate (SC) with the respective product before applying a TC.
- The product shall be processed within the validity of the SC
- The total quantity of Input material(s) shall comply with the total output quantity (including wastage and non-claimed quantities)
- Volume (quantity) the reconciliation shall be clear and transparent.

*Question: 100% recycled polyester greige fabric is produced with certified 100% recycled polyester yarn. To apply a GRS TC for the greige fabric, which standard certified yarn (Yarn TC for which standard) can be used, explain?
Answer: 100% recycled polyester yarn can be certified to both GRS and RCS, as assumed that greige yarn processed without chemicals, but no assurance from RCS for social compliance and general environment practices in the facility. So, GRS is the only standard that can be used to certify yarn that can be used in GRS fabric in this case. So, GRS TC is the only option.
